Anju Sharma joins Opella GCC at Hyderabad as People Business Partner, strengthening the firm’s strategic HR leadership. Opella, originally the consumer healthcare division of Sanofi, became an independent company in 2025. With this transition, Opella embarked on a focused journey to build a strong, people-first global organisation anchored in innovation, efficiency, and cultural evolution.


Anju Sharma has joined Opella GCC as People Business Partner, bringing with her more than 16 years of rich experience in talent strategy, GCC expansion, organisational development, and people-centric transformation. Known for her strategic, business-aligned HR leadership, Anju has consistently enabled high-performing, globally integrated organisations across the IT industry and Global Capability Centers (GCCs). In this role, she will shape Opella’s people strategy, drive cultural development, and strengthen leadership capabilities to fuel the company’s accelerating growth.


Throughout her career, Anju has led large-scale HR transformation programmes that enhance operational excellence, workforce agility, and cross-border collaboration. Her extensive experience in setting up and scaling GCCs for multinational organisations gives her strong insight into global talent markets and the ability to build people frameworks that balance global standards with local cultural strengths. Her leadership—rooted in organisational empathy and data-driven decision-making—has reinforced employer branding, leadership development, and long-term organisational impact.


Before joining Opella GCC, Anju served as Associate Director – HR at IBM Accelalpha, playing a pivotal role in HR strategy, talent management, employee relations, and organisational expansion. She also held key leadership roles at Netcracker Technology as Manager HRBP and Site Lead HR, where she drove employee engagement, workforce planning, and global change management. Earlier, her roles at Gramener, Colt Technology Services, and Aon Hewitt strengthened her foundation in HR operations, payroll governance, employee lifecycle management, and HR analytics.


A certified SHRM, HRCI, and CPD POSH Trainer, as well as a DE&I consultant, Anju is recognised for championing inclusive culture, digital upskilling, and leadership excellence. Her collaborative approach with C-suite leaders ensures that HR acts as a catalyst for strategic transformation and sustained value creation.
