Sumiit Mehtta has been appointed as the Vice President (Head of Execution) at BAJEL Projects Ltd, marking a significant leadership addition to the company’s execution and project management division. With more than 20 years of diverse experience across the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sector, Sumiit brings a strong track record of strategic project execution, planning, and team leadership to his new role.


Prior to joining BAJEL Projects, Sumiit served as Head of Projects at the Adani Group, where he led large-scale infrastructure and energy initiatives across India. His tenure at Adani was characterized by excellence in project controls, cluster-level management, and the successful delivery of complex EPC projects. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Tata Projects Ltd, where he rose through the ranks to become General Manager & Business Head – Power Transmission, Substations & Railways, earning three consecutive “Best Project Manager” awards for his exemplary performance.


An accomplished professional, Sumiit is an MBA in Operations Management and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. His academic credentials include executive certifications in Business Strategy and Leadership from prestigious institutions such as the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta, and Tata Management Training Centre (TMTC), Pune. This strong educational foundation has complemented his practical experience in delivering large-scale projects with precision and efficiency.


At BAJEL Projects Ltd, Sumiit will lead the company’s execution strategy, focusing on operational excellence, project governance, and timely delivery of critical infrastructure initiatives.
