Kalyan Sattaru Appointed as Country Manager, India at Allergan Aesthetics

Kalyan Sattaru has been appointed as the Country Manager, India at Allergan Aesthetics, marking an exciting new chapter in his distinguished career spanning over two decades across healthcare and consumer industries. In his new role, Kalyan will lead Allergan Aesthetics’ India operations, driving strategic growth, strengthening market presence, and advancing the organization’s mission of empowering confidence through science and innovation in aesthetics.


With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Kalyan has built deep expertise in general management, P&L leadership, sales, marketing, and distribution, with a strong focus on healthcare and chronic disease management. He has been instrumental in building and scaling categories, driving commercial excellence, and leading high-performing teams across diverse sectors including healthcare, beverages, paints, and consumer goods.


Before joining Allergan Aesthetics, Kalyan served as the General Manager for Abbott Diabetes Care – South Asia (India Region & South East Asia), where he successfully led the business with full P&L responsibility. Under his leadership, Abbott strengthened its position as a leader in continuous glucose monitoring solutions, making advanced diabetes management more accessible across markets.


Previously, Kalyan spent close to nine years with Johnson & Johnson, where he led the Diabetes Care business for South Asia and played a pivotal role in driving category growth and regional expansion. His earlier career includes impactful roles at Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Coats, and Asian Paints, where he gained extensive experience in sales operations, market development, and organizational transformation.


An alumnus of the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Kalyan also holds degrees in Engineering and Law, reflecting his multifaceted academic and professional background.


Kalyan’s appointment reflects Allergan Aesthetics’ continued commitment to investing in strong leadership and expanding its footprint in India’s growing aesthetics market. With his strategic vision, business acumen, and passion for improving patient and consumer outcomes, Kalyan is set to lead the organization into its next phase of growth and innovation.
