Manish Alagh Appointed as Distribution Head – Partnership & Direct at Kotak Life

Manish Alagh has been appointed as Distribution Head – Partnership & Direct at Kotak Life. In his new role, he will oversee multiple distribution channels including Bancassurance, Digital Business, Corporate Agency & Brokers, Direct Marketing, Wealth Circle, and Strategic Alliances, while focusing on strengthening partnerships, accelerating digital adoption, and building a future-ready distribution network.


Alagh has been with Kotak Life for over 13 years, where he successfully scaled the Tied Agency into a high-performance business, delivering sustainable growth and driving a performance-oriented culture.
With a career spanning 29 years in BFSI and 25 years in Life Insurance, he brings deep expertise in distribution leadership, agency transformation, and strategic alliances.


Before joining Kotak Life, he was part of the founding leadership team at Max New York Life (now Axis Max Life) for 12 years and also worked with GE Money (formerly GE Countrywide), contributing to pioneering consumer finance in India.


An alumnus of INSEAD Business School (France & Singapore campus), Alagh is widely recognized for his leadership & expertise in scaling Agency & direct distribution channels through strategic planning & last mile execution. His appointment marks a significant step in Kotak Life’s mission to scale & strengthen its distribution capabilities and drive innovation
