Anurag G. Kalyani Appointed as Director HR, ER & Admin (CHRO) at Nidec Global Appliances India

Anurag G. Kalyani has been appointed as the Director HR, ER & Admin (CHRO) at Nidec Global Appliances India, where he will lead Human Resources, Labour Relations, and Administrative Operations for the establishment of a greenfield mega manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. In this role, Anurag will focus on building a world-class workforce that embodies ethical standards, a positive mindset, and global best practices. His mandate also includes fostering a people-first culture that emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity across multicultural teams from Brazil, Japan, and Italy.


Anurag brings nearly two decades of HR leadership experience across top-tier organizations. Prior to joining Nidec, he served as HR Leader India – MedTech Supply Chain at Johnson & Johnson, where he contributed to leadership development and industrial relations within the Medical Devices division. He has also held senior HR leadership positions at Wipro, Siemens, Caterpillar, Škoda Auto India, and Videocon Industries, consistently driving strategic HR operations, labor relations, and organizational development initiatives.


Throughout his career, Anurag has been instrumental in managing large-scale greenfield projects and workforce transformations. At Caterpillar Inc., he played a key role in setting up the Perkins India Ltd. facility, while at Siemens and Škoda Auto India, he successfully led HR and IR operations for major plant locations. His experience spans recruitment, talent development, payroll, HRIS, leadership development, and cross-functional HR operations, making him well-suited for the challenges of building a high-performing, multicultural workforce at Nidec.
