Ajeet Singh Chopra Joins Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences as Director – Corporate Relations

Ajeet Singh Chopra has taken on a new role as Director – Corporate Relations at Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), Indore, under the Symbiosis Foundation. In this capacity, he will be responsible for strengthening the university’s engagement with industry, forging strategic alliances, and enhancing the institution’s visibility by representing SUAS at prominent industry forums, chambers, and business associations. He will also contribute to the School of Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) by sharing his deep domain knowledge, mentoring students, and bridging the gap between academia and industry needs.

With an overall experience of more than 18 years in the banking and financial services sector, Ajeet brings a proven track record in business leadership, portfolio management, and strategic growth. Prior to this role, he served with Kotak Mahindra Bank for more than 15 years, where he held senior positions including Vice President & Regional Business Manager for Working Capital financing across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and North Maharashtra. His tenure also included significant responsibilities in Mumbai and Ahmedabad in Branch Management and Channel Management–Sales for Retail Liabilities. Over the years, his career has equally spanned both sides of consumer banking—retail assets and retail liabilities—covering markets across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

Earlier in his career, Ajeet worked with Standard Chartered Bank as a Personal Financial Manager, where he gained early exposure to client advisory on wealth management, retail banking, and operational management. These experiences provided him with a strong foundation in both strategic and customer-centric aspects of financial services.

At SUAS, Ajeet’s leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding the university’s corporate partnerships and ensuring students gain practical, industry-relevant exposure. His journey from banking leadership to academic-industry collaboration reflects a deep commitment to shaping the future of young professionals and aligning academic curricula with real-world demands.
