Karan Bhatia appointed as Director – Head of Procurement at KPMG India
Karan Bhatia has been appointed as Director – Head of Procurement at KPMG India, taking charge of the firm’s procurement strategy and transformation. In this new leadership role based in Gurugram, Karan will lead sourcing, vendor management, and procurement governance to drive efficiency, transparency, and value for the organization.
Karan brings with him nearly two decades of cross-industry experience across financial services, insurance, IT services, and consulting. Prior to joining KPMG, he served as Vice President – Head of Procurement & Facilities at Bharti AXA Life Insurance, where he led procurement operations, real estate, and facilities management for both life and general insurance verticals.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Niva Bupa Health Insurance, Max Life Insurance, Genpact, and mjunction (a SAIL-TATA Steel venture), successfully driving cost optimization, digital transformation, and strategic sourcing initiatives. Known for his strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management, Karan has consistently delivered measurable business impact across organizations.
An MBA in Leadership and Strategy from Liverpool John Moores University, with additional Post Graduation Program from IMT Ghaziabad, Karan combines strategic thinking with operational expertise.
